Our Development & Facilities team supports all of the Society’s operations including a £multi million refurbishment and capital investment programme.
This is a key role managing all aspects of individual building projects across the Society’s trading area and businesses. Often working from conception to completion, you will carry out initial surveys and present recommendations alongside design proposals and accurate costs plans.
You must be able to lead a multi-disciplined team of contractors and professionals to deliver completed projects within budget, on time and with minimum impact on business. You will have a passion for quality, attention to detail and health & safety management. With a track record of successful delivery of capital works programmes, you will have a relevant degree level qualification, NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety and hold CIOB or RICS membership.

Funeral Administrator,
Temporary-22.5 hour ,

Applications are invited for the above position which will be based at Humberstone Road Funeral Home within the East Region.
Working as part of a team, duties will include co-ordinating funeral arrangements according to the clients’ wishes, compiling the required administration, offering advice on the full range of services available and liaising with all relevant authorities and internal contacts. You will also be expected to assist families who wish to pay their last respects.
You will be required to administer petty cash, cheque reconciliation forms, banking and purchase ledger. Other general office duties include answering the telephones, basic computer input and filing will also be key duties of this role.
Applicants will have good inter-personal skills, driving licence and must also have good keyboard skills and computer literate. A flexible approach to working hours is also required.

Loss Prevention Investigator,
Permanent-39 hours p,

You will provide a comprehensive loss prevention service to ensure that our employees, customers and assets are protected from criminal activity from both within and outside the Society. In addition, you will investigate crimes committed against the Society, carry out site audits, advise and support managers on a wide range of crime, physical security and loss prevention related matters together with attending and giving evidence at disciplinary and court hearings. The role involves extensive travel.
Previous experience in an investigative and/or loss prevention role is desirable as well as the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and demonstrate excellent organisation skills and accuracy in all your work.

Web Developer (Travel),

This exciting opportunity has arisen within Web Services, IT, to provide support and development for the Society’s travel websites. This is to include all new developments either as part of a project
Reporting directly to the Web Services Manager, you will work with the Travel team to develop the sales potential of our travel websites. Development of sites must comply with web industry standards, IT governance standards and security policies and procedures.
You will have previous experience in web development with a strong understanding of user ability. You are likely to have experience in RedDot, XHTML, C#, ASP.net, CSS and JAVASCRIPT.
You must have a flexible approach to working hours as you will be required to participate in out of hours standby rotas.
