The Co-operative Fairtrade Chilean Carmenère 2009
The luscious Carmenère is an historical French varietal which has found itself at home in Chile as the signature red grape. This innovative, quality wine is blackberry-hued with an intense nose of damsons and plums.

The Co-operative Fairtrade Organic Malbec Reserve 2009
This was the first reserve red wine to be launched into the Co-operative’s Fairtrade range and is the result of the talents of La Riojana’s head winemaker Rodolfo Griguol. It is made from 100% organic Malbec grapes, partly aged in American oak barrels. Plum and raspberry aromas are complemented with hints of vanilla and tobacco and lead to a full, rich and complex palate with good fruit concentration and balancing oak integration.

An excellent choice to match with a nice piece of steak, savoury tomato-based pasta dishes or a selection of hard cheeses.
